The Renovation
Every room at The Galvestonian faces the Gulf. In 2021 we replaced the windows across all units and upgraded the balconies to match. More glass, slimmer frames, and a clearer line to the water from the moment you walk in.
Work is carried out in sections on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may notice some noise or dust in limited areas during active phases, but we keep disruption to a minimum. The beach is always open.
If renovation progress affects your original unit, our front desk will move you to a comparable one. Any issue during your stay, bring it to us and we'll sort it out.

Before
The original windows had a heavier frame profile that limited the amount of natural light and reduced the Gulf view from inside the unit.
New Window Example
After
The new windows have a slimmer profile, letting in more light and opening up more of the Gulf view from every unit. Floor-to-ceiling glass means you see more of the beach from the moment you walk in.
