★★★★★ 5 Stars Plus! We originally planned a simple weekend getaway at The Galvestonian to close out the summer before my grandson went back to school. Unfortunately, the weekend before our arrival, my father lost his battle with dementia, and our plans suddenly became much more complicated. I cannot say enough about the manager and staff at The Galvestonian and the kindness and compassion they showed our family. During an incredibly difficult and emotional time, they took away the stress of worrying about our reservation and helped us find another weekend that worked for both us and the condo owner. Their understanding and willingness to help meant more than they probably realize. When we were finally able to make the trip, we brought my mom with us. What started as a summer getaway became something our family truly needed. Having a few days together by the beach gave my mom a chance to breathe, spend time with family, and begin working through the loss of my dad. I will always be grateful for that. This was our third stay at The Galvestonian, and it certainly will not be our last. The condos, beautiful property, amenities, and wonderful staff never disappoint. More importantly, this experience reminded us that it is the people who make a place truly special. Thank you to everyone at The Galvestonian for your compassion, flexibility, and kindness when our family needed it most.
